St. Michael Preschool Mission Statement
St. Michael Preschool provides an environment in which children can grow socially, mentally, creatively, emotionally, and spiritually. To experience happiness and success is our focus each day. Through hands on activities, our goal is for each child to feel good about themselves.
St. Michael School Promotes...
By creating a safe nurturing environment, that promotes learning…children are able to explore, discover and actively participate.
By focusing on the process of learning…children are allowed to have fun.
By providing opportunities for success…children become excited about learning.
By providing a variety of activities …children are able to make choices and use their own learning styles to gain knowledge.
St. Michael’s focuses on the children’s interest. Children are given the opportunities to practice, investigate and enjoy time with friends.
Each day, children will be provided with structured learning, story time, music, art, large and fine motor skills, math, reading, science and smart board activities. Through hands-on activities, the children learn how to problem solve, resolve conflict, and get along with peers. In addition to regular class time activities and outside play, we will visit the library and have fun in the gym. There are parent/child activities that will be sent home for families to do together. Christmas time will bring a Christmas Program for all to enjoy. In May, we will celebrate with an End of the Year Program.
Children will discover goodness in all that they do and how God is part of their everyday life. We believe if we love the children and nurture them with positive praise and encouragement, they will develop a sense of positive self-esteem.
If you have a 3 – 5 year-old ready to come to St. Michael School, please consider St. Michael School . All children who enroll in our preschool program must be toilet trained.

Meet the Teachers…
Hi, my name is Mrs. Barb Krenk, otherwise known as Miss Barb. My wonderful husband, Mike and I have 3 beautiful children. I have an Associates Degree in Early Child Development. This is my 33rd year working with children. From being a Director of a Child Development Center to Bryan Hospital Child Care and the last 11 years working in the Catholic School System, I find it amazing all the different ways and styles that teachers have and how they are able to mold young minds into positive, successful and excited young adults. My goal is to allow children to learn at their own pace with encouragement and praise. I believe if we let the children explore and experiment they will be the best person the can be. Thank You for sharing your child with us at St. Michael Preschool.
Hi, my name is Mrs. Lauren Wade, or better known as Ms. Lauren. My husband and I have 2 very ornery puppies, named Ruby and Reggie, who keep us on our toes. I’m a St Peter’s grad and a Pius X alumna. I have degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University and Creighton University and am also a Certified Pediatric Nurse. I previously worked for over 6 years at a local Montessori school, learning and practicing these methods first-hand. My teaching philosophy is to encourage your child’s independence and problem solving skills all while having fun and exploring the world around them. Being a preschool teacher here at St. Michael’s has been a wonderful experience and I’m delighted to be a part of your child’s life. The moment they write their name for the first time, or are able to identify a letter, is so rewarding. I’m very grateful that I am able to witness all of these achievements on a daily basis. It’s a privilege to be able to teach your child a love of God and of learning.
